The Dropdown Login you have on your page is nice. I love the way it saves space. Is it some type of component or module?

Are you referring to the " How to create Collapsible Column in Joomla Template with Jquery" in Tips and Tricks? Does that make the sliding login?

Thanks.

Hi ...

I tried doing the dropdown login effect and get an error message "jQuery is not defined" ...

Do I need something in addition to your code in the tutorial???

Thanks

Hi ... I'm still having a little trouble getting the dropdown to display.

I already have a search module in the "top" position, so I made a new position "join_login" and loaded loginjp module there.

In your instructions you state:

"...Please don't change the id and class attribute to the above example codes unless you are ready to make the same change in module php file also.......".

My question is: where do you find the module position reference (ie "top") in the mod_loginjp.php file ????

I could not find it.....

Just one other small thing .... the last </div> in your instruction:

"...<a class="login_link" href="javascript:void(0)">Login</a></div> ..."

causes the layout to corrupt. Is this </div> needed ???

I've attached the html output for reference.

BTW .... I think this is a really cool module and would love to get it working properly. Thanks for all your great modules and help.

sorry that closing div tag was a typo.

the id and class attribute are not for module position but for html tags like div,a etc and not for top or your join_login module position. you can use any module position but keep the same id and class attribute.

post a link to your page if you stll cant get it.

Hi,

first I'd like to thank you for the tutorial (drop down login). I managed to get it working, but now I have another problem. How do I keep it hidden after user logs in?

For example, after I login I have tu manually hide the div. I'd like the div to stay hidden by default.

Here is the webpage I'm working on at the moment: http://pynx.org/~bostjan/pillbox

Thank you for your time.

Edit:

I was thinking about something like this:
Code:

 <body onLoad="...">

and inside
Code:

 $(".menu").slideUp("slow");

so that everytime my index loads, it hides the div. Any other ideas?

Did you try installing the login module I have created for it. See in tips and tricks section.

Regarding the fix at the pillbox site above by neoman, I installed the 1.1 version of the module. I am having trouble getting the sliding login module to toggle. I followed the instructions in tips & tricks to the letter, and did not link to any additional scripts in my html. I saw that the jquery.js script is placed in the html. I'm not sure what to check next.

By the way, the code to place a module inside a content item worked like a charm. Thanks very much in advance for revisiting this issue with the sliding login.
