IE7: Rockettheme and JP Shutters problem 2008/05/02 05:25 Karma: 0
Yet another problem with stupid IE. Seems everytime I have everything working nicely on Firefox, Safari etc, IE screws everything up.

My problem is that in IE my shutters go all "glitchy", they flicker, and sometimes dissapear. It seems to me that it happens when my image changes up top. Any help is welcome.
Thanks,
Peter

Could someone please reply? I paid money I can't really afford to spend on this so I'd hope to get good support please.

I just checked your site and I can see a problem but I canīt reproduce this problem on my testing server. I checked the extension again and I donīt have any error like that.
Test with another template and let me know if the problem persists. I will try to get this template for testing.

Hi Mike,
Thank you very much for your reply. I've tried the module on 5 different templates. It seems that the "Modern Business" template is the only one that causes the flickering. I think it has to do with the rotating header. I'm working on trying to turn off the header for the pages that display JP Shutters but I'm not great with code (thats why I'm using joomla) so it might take me a while. Any ideas what to do or better ideas?
There is however another problem that I didn't really notice before, and it applies to all the templates I tried JP Shutters with. In IE7 the shutters don't move at all! Is there any way to remedy this? Most people still use IE so it'd be a shame if the majority of site users never saw the shutters working properly.
Another thing I noticed the other day while using IE6 was that the shutters didn't appear in the correct place at all!! Perhaps this is just a template problem??
The way it displays right now in FF2 is the way I'd like it to look in all browsers.
I'm looking forward to your reply. Thanks again.
