Issue in IE 6 2007/04/12 04:08 Karma: -1
I aboslutely enjoy PictureBlindJP, even with having to troubleshoot for IE 7. You're forum was great for finding out how to tweak the css. I'm hoping for an easy solution like that for IE 6. I notice you have a solution since your site works fine with it.

My site www.RevTrev.com has the module slightly out of place in IE 7 - not a problem. But in IE 6 it gets displayed above the background. Is there an easy way to tell it where it needs to be?

this module is being rendered in a table in your template and that seems to be the problem where IE6 is creating issues with css. This nasty IE does not understand css nicely. You would need to make it render the module in a div instead of a table.

You may like to do what I have written in a tutorial also on rendering of module.

To be more precise for your problem, can you try this. Find the code in your index.php file for the module position you have in this div logo and add -2 to the code like I have written in tutorial. If you find yourself not being able to follow my suggestion could you send me your template's index.php file by email. I will make the change for you.
thanks
JP

Thanks for the quick reply. Where can I find the tutorial? What's it called? I surely appreciate the offer to look at the template and may take you up on it, but as I need to learn more about PHP and Joomla I don't mind rooting around and seeing what I may mess up first.

Did a search for "div -2" on your site and the tutorial came up. I added it to the module, and PictureBlindJP shifted up a little bit in Mozilla, a little more in Safari and just slightly in IE 7. It seemed to have no effect in IE 6. I'll fiddle with it a bit some more, but if you have any other suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them.

Thanks... I figured out the problem. I didn't have the module in the <div id="logo"> I'll need to tweak it so the background looks OK in Mozilla, but shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for your help and look forward to a great review in Joomla.www.RevTrev.com
