hi, I just installed the LightBox. I tried a example image and it won't show on the page, but in the lightbox on click its perfedct????

I use {lbjp=image|key.jpg}

I also checked the createthumb.php, but there is no $ori_img, only a $_image_ ????

I changed the size and quality and now it works, no idea why

How did you get your thumbnails to show?

Check these references:
{lbjp=image|my_image.jpg} to display a single image.

{lbjp=gallery|my_image_folder} to display a gallery of images from a folder in images/stories folder.
If your image folder is in a subfolder in images/stories, for example my_subfolder, then you will replace the my_images_folder with my_subfolder/my_images_folder.

I am in the same boat here too. Using the Gallery in the parameters, the images work in the lightbox, but the thumbnails do not. I have changed the quality several times it made no difference either.

Have re-installed it too made no difference. I am on Joomla 1.0.15

Same here. I have another post on the board but wanted to reiterate that the code fix for createthumb.php won't work because it's not the same code.
