it is a permission error on your server for the quotes.txt file.

open this file and give it write permission. The write permission may vary on different servers, generally it is 777 but some people have it as 755 or something else.
Check with your host if you are not sure. the other two errors come up because of the first error.

now set to 777 along with all others but still nothing .. I attach the test quotes file I am using just in case it is defective... should there be anything in Category IDs field when you use quotes?

Sorry my file upload folder did not have write permission so no files actually got attached. Can you attach it please and see if you can open it.

it says you do nt have this quotes.txt file. Simply make a txt file in notepad and upload it in the above said folder and give it write permission also.

ah.. i didn't have a folder with the orthopal suffix! now it works perfectly though only if published in existing modules in my template.. your excellent mosloadposition tactic doesn't seem to work for this module (the module title shows but no content scrolls and there is no error message) .. so my final question is why might that be? I would like to put the scroller in the main body content item on front page.. btw you've certainly earned a donation if we can get there!

Yes I did realize the module in content item trick throws error which is beyond my comprehension. what it says is not there is there, so what to I do I don't know. Sorry!

Good luck with your re-build!.. I was just wondering whether there is any way the typing scroller could be made to wrap (within a narrow module).. it would then be much more flexible and well worth turning into donation ware!

In the meantime I've reduced the quote lengths to fit within the narrow module and it is working fine but is it possible to slow down the 'refresh' rate
