I'm prolly missing something very obvious, but how do I get the ajaxtabs module to show up only on the front page of the site? When configuring the module, I selected only the Home page for a place to be displayed, yet it displays on each and every page.

You are definitely missing something. Check your configuration again and again. You are publishing the module to different position and have a copy of it being published on every page. Thats the commonest mistake I can think of.

I'm witn the same problme.
Only published to menu item Home.
It shows in several pages (not at articles pages) but at some pages toghether with others components (as for MisterEstate search page, not MisterEstate main navigation page).
It looks like a item id thing, I tried to activate the 1.0.11 compatibility mode for Joomla item ID but nothing changed
