THE "STYLEBOXOP" ORTHOPAL MAMBOT
Please use styleboxjp instead of styleboxop in the new stylebox 0.3.
The styleboxop mambot for Joomla 1.0.x allows you to create magazine-style text in articles presented in colorful round corner boxes. Simply install the mambot, upload the pictures from the image library available on the orthopal website, and ftp the pictures into "images" folder. This would be the "mambots/content/styleboxop/images" folder of your website. I could not put the file description of so many images in the xml file so you will have to do it yourself. Everybox is made up of 8 tiny images. The mambot might not work unless you make a change to a back-end parameter and click Save. You can set echo to "no" or change text color or anything at all followed by Save, and change it back later . Using StyleboxopTo use Styleboxop, simply put (styleboxop) and (/styleboxop) around a segment of text, using curly brackets {} instead of round brackets (). Enter the settings on the back-end of the mambot and you'll have your favorite boxstyle around the text on each page that uses it. That may be sufficient for you, but you can also use different styles, colors and float positions etc. of the stylebox by defining the following parameters within the tag to override the back-end settings.
width=xyzpx. For example: width=200px. Don't forget to put px after the integer value!
float=right or float=left You can float text horizontally in both directions but not vertically. Sorry!
color=green or color=maroon etc This parameter will define the color of the box you want to use. Each color has many styles, such as 3D with shade, 3D without shade, flat with shade, flat without shade etc. However, remember that for each color, you can use only one style. So you cannot have green 3D with shade and green flat with shade. That's because when you write color=green, the mambot will search for the image with green as its suffix, and only one image can have that suffix. That means you can only choose one style for each color box . If you don't like the style for a particular color then you will need to overwrite the images to insert the color you need from the image library. The credit for making these amazing images for the mambot goes to Mirco from Germany. A big thanks to him!
textcolor=black Other options include white, green, yellow etc, but you must enter text and not codes like #aaaaaa or #bbbbbb.
echo=yes or echo=no This option lets you choose whether to repeat in the article the text in the colored box. Please do not use echo=on or echo=off. Note: The sequence of parameters above should remain the same. However, you can omit any parameter if you want it to be different to the default value. For example, color has to come before text color and after Float. A working example would look like this: These are wrong: {styleboxop width=300px,color=black,float=right,textcolor=white,echo=yes) I love this mambot(/styleboxop} The sequence is reversed in the above example. {styleboxop width=300px, float=right, color=black, textcolor=white, echo=yes) I love this mambot(/styleboxop}. This is also wrong. Can you see why? If you're struggling, read the next paragraph carefully. In the correct example, there is only one place with a space between characters -- between "styleboxop" and "width" at the beginning of the example. That rule must be followed strictly; there must be no spaces anywhere else. Another common mistake is to use square or rounded brackets instead of curly brackets to enclose the whole syntax. You must use { }, not ( ) or [ ]. Please show your support by rating or commenting on this mambot at the official Joomla Extensions page here. I am not asking you to give it a higher rating but an honest one. That's my only incentive for writing these tutorials at 4:30 in morning...
